MAAC has always been in the news for hosting various events, centre launches, and for a number of engaging activities being conducted by the super-talented team. The events and activities at MAAC are not just limited to the existing students, but also open out to the alumni, faculty, and industry professionals.

Here’s a highlight of some of those events and activities happening MAAC round the year.

MAAC 24FPS – International Animation Awards

This is one of the most spectacular events of MAAC that has been in the spotlight since its initiation in 2003. The event is open to a wide network of students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals including actors and filmmakers. MAAC 24FPS takes place every year in Mumbai, where the talents are applauded, appreciated, and awarded for their contribution in the film, animation, and VFX industry. The awards promote talent from within MAAC centres as well as from different parts of the world. With every passing year, 24FPS has only grown up to become more spectacular, grand, and popular.

National Students’ Meet

MAAC has been conducting National Students’ Meet in different locations like Goa and Rann of Kutch since 2015. With every passing year this event at MAAC is receiving an overwhelming response from students, centre heads, and industry professionals. The idea behind this gathering is to encourage animation and VFX students from different parts of the country to come together and participate in workshops, panel discussions, technical topics-based seminars, and various other fun activities.

Webinars at MAAC

MAAC also organises webinars at regular intervals to keep students and aspirants updated with the trends in the animation, VFX, and gaming industry. The speakers at the webinars are industry stalwarts from fields like animation, VFX, AR VR, multimedia, and gaming.

A series of interactive online events to attend from anywhere anytime

MAAC LAUNCHED A SMART LEARNING APP, ONLINEVARSITY

After the huge success of Onlinevarsity web portal, MAAC has announced the launch of the Onlinevarsity mobile app to enable learning-on-the-go. The app is made available on Android. It gives MAAC students a smooth interface and an amazing learning experience. With the Onlinevarsity app, students got the freedom to access their study materials and features anywhere and anytime.

The Onlinevarsity app was launched keeping in mind the following benefits:

E - books can be downloaded anywhere, anytime, and on any device of your choice.There is no need to transfer data between PC, laptop, mobiles, or tablets.
Expert videos are available for download on the learning app.Students can watch videos and tutorials on - the - go.
Students can receive latest updates of events on the app.Event schedule, agenda, and other details are shared on the Onlinevarsity platform from time - to - time.
Notes can be easily taken care of while reading the e - books or watching videos

MAAC CENTRES

New MAAC centres being launched at various locations

Over the years MAAC has taken its success story a level higher by launching new centres in various locations like Mumbai, Assam, Mangalore, Bangalore, Lucknow, and Delhi. All the new MAAC centres are equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to train students on the latest 3D Animation, Game Designing, Visual Effects, Web and Graphic Designing, and Augmented and Virtual Reality technology.

AWARDS AND ACHEIEVEMENTS

MAAC students are known for their creative thinking and stupendous works. Over the years, MAAC students have been coming out with flying colours by winning awards and recognition at various events and award ceremonies. Some of the award shows and film festivals where MAAC students’ works have received accoaldes are Chitra Bharati Film Festival 2020, Indian Cine Festival-14, Shoot for A Cause 2012, Reelmotions Students International Film Festival, and Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival.
